Syphr, LLC was started with a simple goal in mind – to use creative thought and technology to provide great solutions to credit unions and their members. At the base of this creative thought are the principals of the company, who bring deep experience in the financial and credit reporting industries to Syphr.
Chris Langley,
Founder/Managing Partner
In more than 15 years credit union experience, Chris has risen through the ranks to his most recent positions as CEO/President of Eastern New York Federal Credit Union (ENYFCU) and Founder/Managing Partner of Syphr.
Prior to accepting the leadership position at ENYFCU, Chris founded Syphr. He is responsible for directing the development, implementation, and achievement of strategic operations objectives for the tech CUSO.
Prior to founding Syphr, Chris was COO of Vantria Federal Credit Union, was Manager of Brand Management & External Affairs at First Data/Star Systems (STAR); CEO of UniTrust Financial Services; Senior Vice President of Marketing & Communications at Members 1st Federal Credit Union; Director of Marketing & Public Relations at Portland Federal Employees Credit Union after his start at the New York State Credit Union League.
Prior to his credit union experience, Chris was Media Relations Coordinator for the New York State Assembly and Assistant Press Secretary to Rep. Louise Slaughter (28th-CD). He graduated with a B.A. in Communications from St. John Fisher College and has an A.A.S. in Journalism from State University of New York at Morrisville.
Timothy Z. Brothers
Chief Operating Officer
With over 12 years of experience in the reporting industry, Tim brings a wealth of knowledge of how reporting technology has evolved and has an insider’s view of the future. As the COO of Syphr, Tim is responsible for taking product concepts and bringing them to market.
Tim also serves as Business Development Manager for ISS, a Syphr partner, servng as the liaison between ISS and new business partners in addition to maintaining current business relationships. Since Timothy joined ISS in 1994, he has also served in the capacities of Customer Service and Sales, and has been instrumental in shaping strong customer and vendor relationships for many years.
Tim is active in such organizations as the National Association of Professional Background Screeners where he has served as a Co-Chair on the Database Provider Sub Committee and is a longtime member of the National Credit Reporting Association. He attends the annual conferences of these organizations and others, which afford him the opportunity to keep a finger on the pulse of the various industries ISS serves. Mr. Brothers holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology/Sociology from Bellarmine College and has taken graduate courses in Social Psychology from the University of Louisville.
